She is obviously not of great prominence but expressing some hesitation and meekness in being afforded the opportunity to have her photograph taken.
This is a 1/6th plate Daguerreotype. It is Identified with paper in back:
"My Aunt - Mrs. Mary L. Rogers
Fathers Sister - Your ? Lamb
AD 1862"
This daguerreotype is housed in a leather case has Old repaired spine, with 2 different Patterns to each side of the case. The Original glass is intact.
