Ruby Ambrotype - Ambrotypes - Early Photography - Old Photographs.
This is a very nice example of an early ruby ambrotype. There are spots on the right side of the image, as shown in photo. It is 1/6 plate size with the case measuring 3 1/4 by 3 3/4 inches. This image comes in a full case which is seperated at the seam and still has the red velvet cushion.
