This tintype is of a civil war soldier boy. There is discoloration to one side of the tintype. I could not understand why it was so heavy and under this image was a very heavy tintype of this same boy as a man. How wonderful that these were still together, if only they had also placed his name inside. This antique photograph is housed in a 1/4 plate case measuring 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches. The tintype of him as a man measures 3 1/8th by 4 inches.
